Hello from the La Quinta, Spanish for "please get us into a home soon!"
We have officially been back in Houston for just under 2 weeks and have a huge list of things to do on our plate. First and foremost, we have bought a new home in the Creekside Park neighborhood of The Woodlands and hope to close by Christmas. We looked at 50+ homes in a 4 day stretch and are excited to have found one that meets our needs - 4BR + study, formal dining and a huge kitchen/den combo area. It's also one story, which I am definintely looking forward to! We back to a Preserve, so lovely green views out of most of the windows.
I am in the midst of trying not to lose my mind while finding interim living until then. Next we tackle buying two cars, mobile phones, a fridge, and washer and dryer. A TV and DVD player are much further down on the list. Our air shipment has also just cleared customs, and instead of going into unfurnished housing like we were expecting, we're going to have them hold on to everything until we move into the house. Poor Adam is wondering where all his entertainment, like his bouncer seat and swing, went to. There are only so many fun things you can do on a hotel bed with a Boppy to prop on. No jokes allowed!
I have a bit of back-blogging to catch up on. We went on a great two week trip to London, Dublin and Edinburgh, were home in our villa for a week, then "home" at the W Doha for a week, then in The Woodlands for a few days, Austin for Thanksgiving, and now back in the Woodlands. Unlike Doha, my days are FULL of time now since I am a bit hotel-bound at the moment with no sidewalks nearby for rolling Adam around on. I hope to catch up soon!
