On our first trip back to the States I had mentioned some inconveniences we had on our Etihad Airlines flight home, mainly that the entertainment system was down for our 13 hr. flight home and that our luggage was lost (and later found). When we got home I immediately wrote to Etihad to express my concerns with our flight experience. Well, we finally got a very well written response today that also offered us an apology and a tremendous amount of frequent flyer miles as compensation.
So I guess the moral of the story is, customer service still exists! And if you are upset about something, give the folks responsible an opportunity to make it right!
Yay Etihad, now! We look forward to spending our new miles next year. They fly through Abu Dhabi (home to the new Ferrari World) and virtually everywhere we want to go so it's nice that we get a chance to try them out again.
That's awesome! I'm always threatening to write a letter to complain when something bad happens (or to praise for great service) but never follow through. Next time I'll remember you and do something about it...if nothing else it will make me feel better. Thanks for the inspiration!
