Just dropping by...

Well we are finally moving to our new villa next week!  Unlike the move from Houston (where everything was tagged either SEA, AIR or STORAGE), virtually everything from our current villa is going to our next villa so it should be a fairly easy move (inshallah).  I was able to see the new place on Saturday and it looks pretty great - I can't wait to move in (and have a king size bed again).  Our new compound is also located near Mega Mart Express, which is a tiny version of the pricey expat grocery.  Rotel, Pico's obscure Australian dog food, dairy, bakery, deli, fish, meat... it's all there.  Next time Kev asks what's for dinner I'm going to have him take a hike, literally.

Speaking of, Kev is in Chattanooga visiting our new niece for a few days, then on to DC to catch some March Madness.  I am determined to keep busy while he's gone.  The weather is almost hot and I am enjoying as many days outside as I can, whether that's walking on the Corniche, strolling around our compound with Mr. Pico, or even swimming, which I did today for the first time this year.  I truly love walking at the Corniche.  I've never lived this close to water - about a 10 minute drive - and when faced with the mundane gym or the turquoise waters of West Bay, there's really no contest.  I'm also attempting to cook for one for a full week (lots of soup!) and will consider this week successful if I can avoid having cereal for dinner.

Kev is also tasked with bringing back some comforts from home... SmartPop Kettle Korn, Chipotle Tabasco, Sugar-Free Kool-Aid, etc. + a bunch of Amazon books.  Surprisingly the list seems a little small, so I guess that means we're adapting!

BTW - my part-time job has also kicked back in for this week... did I mention my new acting gig?
