A case of the Mondays

I think I've mentioned this before, but as the Muslim holy day is Friday, the weekends here are Friday and Saturday (instead of Saturday and Sunday) and the work week is Sunday through Thursday (instead of Monday through Friday). Going a step further, Fridays in Qatar are more like Sundays in the US (most businesses open later) and to boot your Monday is now ona Sunday.
  • Used to kicking off your Monday/week with the "Today Show" with Meredith and Matt? Too bad, 'cause your Monday is a Sunday and you're stuck with Lester and Amy.
  • Hey, it's the weekend... want to call your friends and family back in the States? Tough luck, it's likely Friday and most Americans work on Friday.
  • Thinking about a party coming up this weekend?  If you have American Saturday mentality, you likely missed the party on Friday.
Normally I can keep up with this date switcheroo madness, but this week was a unique exception. I track my meals/activity daily with Weight Watchers online and after a few days of wondering why the previous day's meals kept showing up, I finally realized that I skipped Friday all together and have been tracking everything a day into the future. So today is Monday, but technically on WeightWatchers.com it's a Friday for me. :)
